Vincent Iacopella talks with Sourcing Journal:

Worker Shortages and China COVID Shutdowns worsen Supply Chain Crisis

In this interesting discussing, our EVP Growth and Strategy, Vincent Iacopella spoke in an interview with Edward Hertzman, founder and president of Sourcing Journal where he discussed a forecast for the 2022 supply chain disruption. At the last count, there were about 300 ships off the coast of Shanghai waiting to berth, after zero-tolerance Covid measures implemented in China earlier this year as prolonged lockdowns, goods are seized at the U.S. border.

Additionally. the supply chain has been affected by forced labor concerns, and domestic labor shortages and conflicts continue to grind the gears on America’s West Coast ports. Recently, containers started moving out of Chinese ports, the question now is: Are warehouses open? Are distribution centers open? Is there space in the U.S. ports to receive these goods?
