Sal Stile talks with Newsmax:

Suppliers Warn of Price Hikes expected in Food Products and Restaurants

In this session, Sal Stile, the President of Alba Wheels Up spoke in an interview on American Agenda from Newsmax where he discussed the prices increase expected by Food Suppliers and Restaurant-Chains in the upcoming months of the current year, as we get into peak season for importing.

He mentioned price increases are currently affecting labor, packaging, and ingredients costs, which force the food suppliers to transfer these increases to the final consumer, this is also connected to the food shortage we're currently experiencing for several food products, you might go to the supermarket searching for specific products that might not be available at the time.

Sal explained that these price increases and shortages are occurring due to recent COVID-19 outbreaks, and factories and ports shutdowns all over the world, which is causing goods not to be produced when they were supposed to, also steamship lines issues which cause delays on the goods arrival into the U.S. and how all this together might lead to higher inflation rates than expected, on top of the current port congestion already experienced in the U.S.

Partner with Alba Wheels Up to gain an inside edge with our logistics network, we can tailor your importing needs to an ever-changing industry climate.
